LANGUAGE LAB

Springdales Senior secondary School posseses launched  Language Lab using current technology.

Our language lab provides practice in an entertaining and interactive way to acquire the four main language skills namely listening, speaking, reading and writing. It also allows students to reinforce material learned in classroom by putting them into practice through interactive activities. Our lab provides a very differet experience from the traditional system of teaching and learning languages, offering more advanced features and functionaries. As language is practical, it inculcates self learning and teachers are able to monitor and access the progress of the students. Students learn much faster in this lab. It also allows diversity in the classroom as interactive courses, language labs are tailored to the individual needs of students.  It also fosters communication in the classroom. It also optimizes computer resources in our school. Through Language lab  students get more involved to actively participate in language learning exercises to have more time to practice. The spoken language that is not possible in a traditional classroom environment. In this condition, language labs use the teachers and students classroom time more effectively resulting in much better overall results.

Students should be able to control their own voice and playback the recordings and interact with each other individually or by groups or pairs. Student are able to work at their own pace and students at different level are able to select their own activities from the server. Teachers and students use computers with language lab software for conducting language learning exercises and activities. They use headsets with microphone to communicate and conduct language learning exercises and activities.

Students have a media recorder player to listen to audio and watch video for recording which enhances there speech exercises. The teacher sends out present language learning or teacher lead activities and collect and store all recording activities and assessment or test result including preset examination. All these thingsall are the benefits of language lab
